Live Easy is a hassle-free service that makes renting stress-free for anyone in China. It basically helps you throughout the entire cycle of renting, from hunting, inspecting, signing contract and finally moving in.

For naming, we brainstormed to come up with a name that is straightforward, trustworthy and reliable. That's how we came up with "Live Easy"

I produced an explanatory video to introduce and explain how our product works. The script began with an introduction of the difficulty in preparing a move to China (which I, along with many others personally experienced), before introducing how Live Easy can be the perfect solution.

I shot and edited the video with Adobe Premiere, combining the footage with screenshots of the step-by-step process - that's doable even if you are not physically in the country

I created 2 characters, Mr Skeptic and Mr Smart for an animated storyboard to compare the different experiences of renting through different platforms.

Each episode showcases the different stages of renting: hunting; inspecting; signing contract. The first episode deals with the Apartment Hunting process which can be daunting, as China operates under a completely different internet ecosystem

The second episode showcases the hardships during inspecting: listings that are never updated; bad value units; places that often look nothing like their photos; language barrier; even discrimination.

Unlike some agencies, Live Easy guarantees that the apartments suggested are not only available but also fully furnished and renovated.

As the binding document for any agreement, signing contract in a language you don't understand is terrifying. So it's a no brainer that Live Easy provides the contract in English.

Also, unlike most agencies which require a minimum of one year contract, Live Easy customers have the flexibility between a monthly, quarterly or yearly contract. They can even decide if the apartment is right for them; if they change their mind within the first 3 days of moving in, Live Easy will find another apartment or offer a full refund

On top of rental service, Live Easy also provides a peace of mind for those who are still planning their move as well as newcomers. For a small fee, Live Easy can provide a temporary home while they find the right apartment.

The website's responsive architecture ensures it looks and works perfectly on screens of all sizes.

Due to COVID-19 and border closure, this project is currently on hold. In the meantime, we are working on Live Easy's storage service, Easy Store - a one stop service to store your belongings while many of members of our international community are stuck outside of China.
